Real Madrid have confirmed that first team
immediate effect. Castilla coach Solari takes
over for short-term
After agreeing to take charge at Real Madrid
two days before the 2018 World Cup started,
Julen Lopetegui has guided Los Blancos to
just six wins in 14 outings in all competitions.
Real Madrid suffered a 5-1 defeat to utter
rivlas Barcelona in Clasico at Camp Nou, their
four defeats in five games.
What's more, Lopetegui's side broke the club's
116-year goal drought record (465 minutes)
last week when they lost 2-1 to Levante.
Marcelo - who ended Real Madrid's goal
drought last week - alongside with Dani
Ceballos, Sergio Ramos and co., all publicly
offered their support for the former Spain
manager.
Lopetegui, however, could not avoid the sack
as Real Madrid now sit ninth in La Liga table -
seven points behind leaders Barcelona.
