Church members pray under first rain of the year

A video making rounds online showed some church members at an undisclosed location today, praying under the first rain of the year. The church members who seem to be making “prophetic declarations”, caught the attention of social media users by praying under the rain. Here is the video below;

 This is coming after Kehlani, an American singer made fun of Nigerian prayers, describing them as long, repetitive and verbose. At the start of the video, a voice off the camera, most likely a man’s, asks her to “tell ’em about them Nigerian prayers”.

Kehlani responds, “Yo, they thirty minutes long and it’s a bunch of repetitive (prayers) like…” She then goes on to mimic the theatrical, vocal prayer sessions associated with revivalist Nigerian Christianity. “Lord God, Jesus Christ, please, just look over….”, she choruses in a faux Nigerian accent.
