The State Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), DSP Abimbola Oyeyemi who confirmed the arrest of members of the syndicate, said; “The suspects were apprehended and taken to Ago-Iwoye Police Divisional Headquarters, where they were interrogated and confessed to be fraudsters, adding that, they posed as spiritualists to their victims, with enormous powers of cleansing all sorts of problems. With this, many have been defrauded in millions”. “Meanwhile, the State Commissioner of Police, CP Ahmed Iliyasu, has ordered a thorough investigation into the activities of the syndicate, whom he said should be charged to a court of competent jurisdiction as soon as the investigation is completed. He equally advised members of the public to beware of the antics of fraudsters pretending to be spiritualists”, Oyeyemi added.
