The Adamawa Police command has reportedly detained a suspicious vulture owned by a woman, after it was reported by residents. Adamu Audu Madaki, the state's commissioner of police who confirmed that his officers detained the suspicious vulture, said members of the community in Maiha local government area of Adamawa had reported that the vulture owned by a female member of the community was unnerving them.

It was further gathered that they said the presence of the vulture was ominous to the community, as the last time three vultures were present in the community, Boko Haram terrorist had attacked them. The woman and the vulture were arrested, and they've both been transferred to the state capital, Yola, for further investigation.  Sources also told Daily Sun that the vulture is being fed with N5,000 worth of meat every day.
