Arsenal have yet to reach an agreement with Saint-Etienne over William Saliba.
Reports in France have claimed the Gunners have agreed personal terms with the 18-year-old centre-back.
After a stellar debut season in Ligue 1, Saliba is keen on a move to the Emirates.
However, the London Evening Standard says negotiations between the two clubs have not yet reached an advanced stage.
Saint-Etienne are hoping Arsenal will loan Saliba back to them for next season, although the Premier League giants are reluctant.
