Chelsea set to name Arsenal keeper Cech as Emenalo replacement

Chelsea are set to appoint Petr Cech in a new technical director role.

The 37-year-old will return to Stamford Bridge on Thursday to complete his return to the club four years after moving to Arsenal.

Speaking in April, Cech revealed his plans to retire from playing at the end of last season.

Sky Sports says Cech will takeover the role of technical director, which has been vacated since Michael Emenalo left in 2017.

The former Czech Republic international spent 11 years at Chelsea, winning 13 major trophies including four Premier League titles and the Champions League.
