Real Madrid will get a clear run at Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba.
The Daily Mail says agent Mino Raiola's transfer ban has been upheld in Italy.
The development in Italy means that Pogba would not be able to move back to Juventus unless he left his agent. A final decision on Raiola's worldwide ban will be made next week.
That leaves Real Madrid as his only other viable alternative but the Spaniards need to sell several stars before they can buy having already signed five players this summer at a cost of £344million.
Real had an initial summer budget of just under £100m so would need to raise in excess of £200m before even considering a bid.
Real boss Zinedine Zidane is desperate to sign Pogba as part of his summer rebuild but needs to offload the likes of Gareth Bale and James Rodriguez first.
