Romelu Lukaku is urging Manchester United to drop his valuation.
The Sun says United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has given the wantaway striker until Wednesday to thrash out a deal to join Inter Milan.
If Lukaku fails to meet the deadline, Solskjaer will look to bring him back into his squad as it will be too late for United to sign a replacement.
Lukaku, 26, has asked Old Trafford chiefs to lower their £80million valuation for him so he can seal a move to play for Antonio Conte at the San Siro.
There is hope a deal could be done for £65m but it is now down to United to decide whether they will take a loss on the player they signed from Everton two years ago for £75m.
Lukaku's first choice is to work with Antonio Conte at Inter and is hoping that a deal can get sorted in time.
