France coach Didier Deschamps has told Olivier Giroud to leave Chelsea in January.
The veteran striker, despite his limited playing time at club level this season, has proved crucial in Euros qualifying for France.
Indeed, Deschamps acknowledges Giroud is a first-choice - but needs regular action with his club to maintain his form going into next summer's Euros.
He told Telefoot: "He suffers inevitably from this situation on a daily basis.
"If he has an opportunity to move and have more playing time, it's good for him, he knows it."
