Leaders and critical stakeholders of the Edo State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC), have announced the suspension of the state governor, Mr. Godwin Obaseki, from the party over alleged anti-party activities.
Also suspended along with the governor, were his deputy, Philip Shaibu and Secretary to the State Government, Osarodion Ogie.
The suspension comes as the crisis in rocking the Edo State chapter of the All Progressives Congress gets messier by the day.
APC leaders at the party secretariat, the suspension of Oshiomhole and some party local government chairmen were upheld.
The suspension of Obaseki, his Deputy, Philip Shaibu and others were carried out at the residence of General Charles Airhiavbere by the Edo Peoples Movement, a pressure group within the APC.
