Former Scotland cricket captain Majid Haq has promised he will be ‘back to full health soon’ after revealing he has tested positive for the coronavirus.
The Paisley-born bowler, 37, said he believes he caught the Covid-19 bug on London’s Underground network.
He is being kept at the Royal Alexandria Hospital and has praised staff for the treatment he has received.
Writing on Twitter, the former cricket internationalist alluded to the fact he is now almost fully recovered and added he is looking forward to returning home.
He tweeted: "Looking forward to potentially getting back home today after testing positive with Coronavirus.
"Staff at the RAH in Paisley have been good to me & thank you to everyone who has sent me messages of support. Insha Allah the Panther will be back to full health soon.
