Saudi Arabia bans prayer in mosques in Makkah and Madinah


The government has instructed that no one should go to mosques for Friday prayers.

Other churches in the country have already banned the use of prayers. At that time, the government had suggested that only two holy churches in Makkah and Madinah, including Friday prayers, be held.

The government also banned Friday prayers at the mosque in Makkah, al-Haram in Madinah and the mosque in Madinah. It is suggested that people should pray and pray in their homes.

Thursday was restricted to praying inside the mosque in Mecca. Prayers outside the two holy churches are now forbidden.

Hani bin Hosni Haider, a spokesman for the general presidency of the mosques, said that people should not come to pray at the Grand Mosque (mosque al-haram) and the mosque of the Prophet from Friday.

The number of cases in Saudi Arabia rose to 274 after Kovid confirmed 19 on Thursday.
