Team Lucifer know how to spring a surprise on us – and while we knew the trailer was on its way – our mouths just about dropped when we saw what was in it.
In a massive twist into what the season is about to bring us, Lucifer (Tom Ellis) makes a triumphant return to Los Angeles after getting bored again of being in Hell.
However, things soon move swiftly sideways when a furious Maze (Lesley-Ann Brandt) confronts him about returning to the Underworld without her – and discovers its not even Lucifer at all.
Ladies and gentleman, we’ve got a twin brother on our hands. Yup, a new addition to the ever-confusing family tree that is the angels, we actually get to meet Michael – who has decided to take over Lucifer’s life on Earth. And his first target? Detective Chloe Decker (Lauren German) of course.
First embracing the return of the man she loves, the pair seem to be getting close and personal (and giving us the Deckerstar action we truly desired). Only… technically this isn’t Deckerstar.
Obviously is doesn’t take long for the real Lucifer to catch wind of what his evil twin is up to (which is saying something seeing as the other twin is legit Satan) and soon all hell is breaking loose.
We are so ready for it.
