Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have been dragged into the ongoing royal Photoshop row after an old podcast episode was dredged up.
Sister-in-law Kate Middleton has been embroiled in an ongoing row over her editing of a Mother's Day image featuring her and her three children. In what was her first official image since undergoing “planned abdominal surgery” the Princess of Wales caused a furore after seemingly doctoring the image herself.
Page Six then published quotes claimed to be from an unnamed source close to the Duke and Duchess of Sussex saying: “If Harry and Meghan had ever encountered the same issue they would have been annihilated. The same rules do not apply to both couples.”
Since then, quotes from the photographer who took the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s portrait for their second baby announcement have been found down the back of the sofa and shoved into the limelight.

Appealing on the Private Passions podcast on BBC Radio 3 in 2021, London-based photographer Misan Harriman and pal of the Sussexes said: “My most well-known virtual shoot is the portrait I took of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle announcing their pregnancy.” He explained how he was in a different location to the couple as it was the pandemic, took the photograph remotely and was able to use technology to communicate with them, telling them what poses to take up.
The host then asked: “They weren't actually under a willow tree, were they? They were lying outside in a meadow, weren't they?”
To this Misan, who is believed to be a friend of the couple, responded: “Yeah they were lost in their love, at home, in their garden, comfortable, celebrating new joy.”
The rediscovery of the clip has caused anger among some onlookers and commentators, with royal expert Angela Levin telling the Sun: “A tree was doctored in their photograph to create a special backdrop so how dare their camp say anything about Catherine's?”
