Meghan Markle is reportedly fretting that Prince Harry might be "made a fool of" and "hurt" once more, as he can't seem to "forgive the royals".

With Harry gearing up for a trip back to Blighty, whispers suggest he's keen to patch things up with his brother Prince William and sister-in-law Kate Middleton, particularly after the shock news of Kate's cancer diagnosis.

But a palace insider has spilled the beans, claiming Meghan is not on board with Harry's peace-making efforts. "Meghan knows she is facing a losing battle when it comes to Harry reaching out to Kate and William to try and sort through their differences, but she thinks he's making a big mistake," the source revealed.

"She obviously feels sympathy for Kate and what she's going through, but in her mind, it doesn't change things."

In a touching video message last month, the Princess of Wales bravely told the nation about her preventive chemo treatment following the discovery of cancer post-tummy surgery earlier this year.

While Kate and Wills hunker down with their little ones George, Charlotte and Louis during this tough time, Harry seems ready to bury the hatchet and show solidarity with the pair. It's a similar scene to earlier this year when King Charles' own health scare saw Harry hotfoot it to the UK, albeit for a fleeting visit, reports the Mirror.

Meghan is said to be worried

But it looks like Meghan's still nursing old wounds, as per an insider. The source claimed this week: "She wants her to make a full recovery and for the family to all be ok but four years on from leaving and she's still upset by it all and can never fully forgive the royals for what they put her and Harry through and have never apologised."

Harry and Meg bid adieu to their royal gigs in January 2020, jetting off to California to bring up little Archie, now aged four, and Lilibet, who's two, away from the royal fishbowl. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex haven't shied away from spilling the beans about their royal rumbles, especially in Harry's hotly anticipated 2023 tell-all memoir Spare.
