According to a royal expert, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have faced accusations of teasing Prince William and Kate Middleton with their activities in Nigeria. Tom Bower, a royal biographer, expressed his disapproval of the Sussexes' trip, stating, "What they're really doing is putting Kate and William in a terrible light."
Bower further elaborated on Kate's challenges, saying, "There is poor Kate, dealing with her illnesses, while they should be in Nigeria, focusing on their work. Now, the Sussexes have stepped in, causing embarrassment for the King. Buckingham Palace rightfully decided not to partake in their game on this occasion."
Describing Harry's behavior, Bower stated, "Treachery is a strong word, but he has acted disloyally and traitorously as a man, son, brother, and member of the British public. His conduct has been appalling."
However, Richard Montgomery, the British High Commissioner to Nigeria, released a statement to clarify the situation, emphasizing that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex's visit to Nigeria was of a private nature and not an official one. Montgomery expressed his appreciation for their visit, which he understood to be at the invitation of the Defence Headquarters.
