 Reports suggest that King Charles is more furious than ever over Meghan Markle and Prince Harry's recent trip to Nigeria. The king reportedly has a bone to pick with the couple after their travels bore a striking resemblance to an official royal tour earlier this month.

During their three-day trip to Nigeria, Harry and Meghan met officials, toured schools, and visited charities, activities typically associated with royal tours. Royal author Tom Quinn noted that the couple's hosts in Nigeria organized the events to mimic an official tour, complete with dances, receptions, and school visits.

This resemblance to an official royal tour left King Charles and Prince William furious. According to Quinn, William is determined to find a way to prevent such incidents in the future, as he and his father are scratching their heads trying to control the situation. The family had been concerned that former senior royals departing in 2020 might attempt quick trips, and this trip seemingly confirmed their fears.

Despite the family's lack of jurisdiction over the couple's travels, the senior royals are understandably concerned. Quinn explained that Charles and William feel as though Meghan and Harry are asserting their independence as working royals without seeking permission or adhering to protocol.

The couple's trip to Africa followed Prince Harry's celebration of the 10th anniversary of the Invictus Games in the UK. However, apart from Princess Diana's siblings, none of his family members made an effort to meet him or attend the anniversary bash, despite receiving invitations.
