Mike Tindall has reportedly been given a "high position" as part of the Invictus Games, which one royal commentator has claimed left Prince Harry "absolutely furious".
Harry set up the Invictus Games, a sports competition for injured servicemen and women, along with the Ministry of Defence back in 2014 and is back in the UK for a brief visit to mark its 10th anniversary today.
But speaking on GB News, royal commentator Richard Fitzwilliams said that he thought the appointment of Mike, who is married to Harry's cousin Zara, would not go down well with the Duke of Sussex.
He said: "Mike Tindall, who is the husband of Zara, the King's niece, has been given a high position to do something about the Invictus Games."
Richard added: "I think Harry is absolutely furious about this. It has been announced, but very quietly."
"She did lead people who were in winning last year, and she walked as if she was at a dress show and they were walking behind her looking very angry because she doesn't really know very much about the army and the military."
Harry, 39, is scheduled to attend an event at St Paul's Cathedral today to mark 10 years of the Invictus Games and was said to have been considering calling in via video link because of security concerns.
The Duke lost a recent legal challenge against the Home Office about his entitlement to Royal security services having been cut off after his move to California.
But Harry has arrived for a brief visit to the UK for the event, although wife Meghan and their two children have not come with him and he will not see his father King Charles while he is here.
A statement from Harry's team read: "It unfortunately will not be possible due to His Majesty’s full programme.
"The Duke of course is understanding of his father’s diary of commitments and various other priorities and hopes to see him soon."
Royal expert Jennie Bond exclusively told OK! that, because the pair won't see one another, "we can deduce that their relationship is terminally damaged".
She added: "In a sensible world, Harry would stay with his dad at Clarence House - they could have cosy chats in perfect privacy and with all the security Harry wants."
