Princess Kate's bond with a royal relation has gone viral after footage from a high-profile celebration for Queen Elizabeth II resurfaced on social-media site TikTok.
Kate's relationships with members of the royal family have been highlighted in recent months. The princess stepped out of the public eye at the beginning of the year to undergo abdominal surgery and, afterward, chemotherapy treatment following a cancer diagnosis. Statements of support for Kate were sent by world leaders, celebrities and members of the royal family, including King Charles and Queen Camilla.
On June 15, the princess made her first official public appearance of 2024 to attend the Trooping the Colour celebrations in London, which was attended by all senior members of the royal family.
One of these members has featured in the newly resurfaced footage, which has gone viral on TikTok, highlighting an affectionate interaction between the two.
Uploaded to the social-media site by user @royalfamilyfanpage5 on June 14, footage of Kate and Prince Edward, the Duke of Edinburgh, attending a 2016 lunch event after the service of Thanksgiving for Queen Elizabeth II's 90th birthday at St. Paul's Cathedral in London has been viewed over 713,000 times, so far.
