Alex Rodriguez's recent activity on social media has ignited speculation that he might be sending a subtle message to his ex-fiancée, Jennifer Lopez. 

 

The former MLB star shared a cryptic quote on his Instagram story just hours after news broke that Lopez had filed for divorce from Ben Affleck.

 

The post read, "You either go one way or the other, you might as well be the one deciding the direction."

 

 While on the surface, it appears to be a motivational line, the timing of the message has led many to wonder if it was A-Rod's indirect response to the news of Lopez's split.

 

 

Rodriguez and Lopez began dating in February 2017 and got engaged two years later. However, the couple called off their engagement in April 2021, with Lopez rekindling her romance with Affleck shortly thereafter. The pair, who were once one of Hollywood's most high-profile couples, ultimately went their separate ways.

 

Despite the breakup, A-Rod has publicly maintained that he holds no ill feelings toward Lopez, describing her as the "most-talented human" he's ever met in a 2022 interview. Since their split, Rodriguez has moved on and is currently dating Jaclyn Cordeiro, a fitness expert.
