A close friend of Prince Harry reportedly believes he has been “outrageously disloyal” with the Royal Family, calling it a case of “three strikes and you’re out”.
He and wife Meghan Markle left the UK in 2020 and have started a new life in California - since then they have received plenty of criticism for their perceived attacks on the royals.
Harry has spoken regularly to the American media about how he needed to leave the Royal Family as it wasn’t the environment in which he wanted to bring up his children. In an interview with Oprah Winfrey he talked of needing to "break the cycle" in which both his father Charles and William were “trapped”.
It certainly appears as though speaking critically of the royals has seen him lose some friends and create a difficult relationship with his family.
This year he headed back to the UK when King Charles revealed his cancer treatment but only briefly saw him and did not meet him again on a subsequent visit. At the same time he appears to have a very frosty relationship with William, despite the brothers at one time being so close.
