Chelsea star Noni Madueke was afforded a hostile reception by the Wolves fans during Chelsea’s Premier League match at Molineux on Sunday.
The England Under-21 international was caught in a social media storm prior to the game after he accidentally posted a derogatory comment on his private Instagram account.
Madueke declared that ‘everything about’ Wolverhampton was ‘s***’ before revealing he had not intended to make the post public.
‘Damnn wrong Instagram account.. You lot are too fast [laughing emoji, face palm emoji],’ Madueke told his 960,000 followers on the social media platform.
Madueke almost gave the home fans more reason to jeer him in the opening minute when he made a forceful run which culminated in a stinging shot that Joe Sa did well to repel at his near post.
From the resulting corner, however, the visitors took the lead when Cole Palmer’s corner found Nicolas Jackson at the far post and the Senegal striker made no mistake with an instinctive header.

Chelsea were looking to bounce back from last weekend’s disappointing opening defeat against Manchester City in what was Enzo Maresca’s first competitive game in charge.
The Italian was forced into making one change to his starting line-up with Romeo Lavia having suffered a minor hamstring injury.
Gaps in Chelsea’s midfield were becoming increasingly evident and it was no surprise when Matheus Cunha drew the home side level with a smart finish shortly before the half hour mark.

The Blues were back in front, however, just before the break when Cole Palmer’s impudent chip capped a rapid break instigated by goalkeeper Robert Sanchez, but there was still time for Wolves to equalise before the interval through Jorgen Strand Larsen who benefited from slack marking from a set-piece.
If the home side were expecting to build on their momentum in the second period they were mistaken as pantomime villain Madueke took over.
The often maligned winger put his side back in front with a deflected effort just three minutes after the re-start and was back on the scoresheet nine minutes later, scoring from a similar position.
Madueke looked to have put the game to bed in the 63rd minute, providing another clinical finish which helped Palmer register his third assist of the game.
There was still time for Chelsea to add a sixth with Joao Felix marking his return to the club with an emphatic finish after Pedro Neto, a recent arrival from Wolves, teed him up superbly.
