Meghan Markle's latest appearance at a book event in California prompted the same disappointed response from royal fans.
The Duchess of Sussex made a surprise appearance at Goodmothers bookstore in Summerland, California, as she joined close friend Oprah Winfrey for a special book club session. Meghan spoke at the intimate event alongside actor Marco Leone and astrologer Dr. Jennifer Freed, and looked chic in a navy sleeveless jumpsuit by Club Monaco, teamed with diamond earrings.
Her appearance at the book event was lauded by her loyal supporters, who were impressed with her lowkey yet stylish outfit for the surprise book event. “Meghan looks great in this jumpsuit and it fits well. Meg clearly doesn’t skip shoulder day!” one tweeted, as another chimed in: “That's a very flattering cut for her on top.” One fan noted she looked “great”, as another commented: “Love this jumpsuit on her! She’s looking FABULOUS.”
Goodmothers is co-owned by literary agent Jennifer Rudolph Walsh, and ahead of Oprah’s book club session, she revealed the store had been specially designed to highlight “local” authors, including Meghan Markle and Prince Harry. In a video on Instagram, Jennifer filmed a display of books in the front of the store, which featured Spare and Meghan’s children’s book The Bench, as she said: “This is our local authors shelf when you first walk in,” she began.
