Princess Kate is very proud of her daughter, Princess Charlotte's adorable passion

Princess Charlotte - the only daughter of Prince William and Princess Kate - is reported to have sweet passion, that is likely to make her mum seriously proud of her

There is nothing that Prince William and Princess Kate put above the well-being of their three children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis. Whilst the couple work hard to balance their responsibilities to their children with their official royal duties, Kate's passion as a mother for ensuring the best start in life for her children has even been reflected in the main cause she has chosen to champion with her large platform: early years development.

From carefully monitoring their children's screentime, to making sure that at least one of them is at home with the kids most of the time, Kate and William have put a lot of effort into giving the royal youngsters a normal life behind closed doors and helping them find the hobbies and activities that they get really passionate about.

As reported in The Express, Charlotte revealed her adorable passion when she visited Birmingham to watch some of the Commonwealth Games back in 2022. Aged only seven at the time, Charlotte watched a swimming competition with her parents, before heading to the SportsAid house where she chatted with chief executive Tim Lawler, and told him exactly what her favourite sport

is.

"She really, really loved seeing the swimming, but she's interested in the gymnastics, and while they're trying lots of different sports at home, I understand, when I asked her about sport she answered very easily and said, 'It's gymnastics that I like'," said Lawler. Kate is reported to have joked, "Charlotte spends most of her time upside-down, doing handstands and cartwheels," per the Daily Mail. Luckily, later that day Charlotte got to watch some pro-gymnasts at work, and was spotted in between her parents smiling and cheering them on.

Both Kate and William have long been advocates of the importance of sport, both for it's physical benefits, and how it can help support good mental health. When visiting the Anna Freud Centre in 2023, she said, "So much in sport is mental as well as the physical skills and abilities, to have these sort of skills and these sorts of things in your toolbox will really help you, probably not just in school but home life and school life and other things as well." Whilst Charlotte may be passionate about gymnastics, that's not the only sport she gets stuck into, with her athletic parents passing on their love of physical activity - and competitive streaks - on to their three kids.
