Liverpool will be without Alisson until late November, meaning that the goalkeeper will miss key games against Chelsea, Arsenal and Bayer Leverkusen.

The Brazil international was forced off in Liverpool’s 1-0 win over Crystal Palace last Saturday due to a hamstring injury.

Alisson was replaced in the 79th minute, with third-choice keeper Vitezslav Jaros coming off the bench in the absence of Caoimhin Kelleher, who missed the game through illness.

Kelleher is now expected to deputise for Alisson for an extended period, with The Times reporting that Liverpool’s first-choice goalkeeper will be sidelined for at least seven games.

That means Alisson will be unavailable for Liverpool’s Premier League games against Chelsea, Arsenal, Brighton and Aston Villa.

He will also be sidelined for Liverpool’s Champions League trip to RB Leipzig, as well as their game at home to Xabi Alonso’s Bayer Leverkusen on October November 5.

Alisson will also be out for Liverpool’s visit to Brighton in the Carabao Cup fourth round on October 30.

Liverpool are initially hopeful that Alisson will be able to return for their Premier League game against Southampton after the international break in November.

Arne Slot’s side are then due to host Real Madrid in the Champions League on November 27.

They will then play Manchester City in the Premier League on December 1.
