An ex-convict was arrested for rap!ng a 17-year-old girl in Brooklyn, New York, USA less than two months after he was released on parole for the same crime committed two years ago, law enforcement officials say.

Convicted rapist Delon Hughes, 34, lured the teenager to an apartment building at around 5:10 p.m. Sunday, October 6 after meeting her on Instagram and r@ped her in the stairwell when she tried to leave, police said.

Hughes previously r@ped a 17-year-old girl on Jan. 29, 2022, and was arrested in January 2023, according to law enforcement records. He was convicted of that assault in April and was sentenced to up to three years in jail before being released on parole in August with credit for time served, prison records revealed.

Both of his r@pes showed a similar pattern, with Hughes luring his previous victim after meeting her on Facebook.

Including his previous r@pe conviction, Hughes had been arrested 14 times before the latest arrest on Sunday, according to law enforcement.

Police say after raping the latest victim, Hughes ran away but was caught and is in police custody.
