Meghan Markle's Fury: Lady Colin Campbell Calls Her a 'Relentless Fame Addict'

According to Lady Colin Campbell, Meghan Markle has more in common with Hollywood paparazzi than with the stiff upper lip royals she's married into. In her book *Meghan and Harry: The Real Story*, Lady Colin doesn’t hold back in her criticism, labeling Meghan as a “fame addict.”

Campbell suggests that Meghan is better suited for the glitz and glamour of Hollywood than for the rigid protocols of Buckingham Palace. In fact, she likens Meghan’s fit within the royal family to Angelina Jolie competing in a boxing match—an unlikely scenario at best.

Imagine Angelina Jolie stepping into the ring, gloves on, ready to fight; it's about as likely as Meghan comfortably donning the crown jewels. Despite their insistence on wanting privacy, Meghan and Harry can’t seem to escape the camera’s gaze.

Lady Colin is quick to point out that if Meghan genuinely desired peace, she would stop striking poses and leave her “Princess Diana 2.0” fantasies at the palace door. For someone who claims to want to be left alone, Lady Colin quips, “she’s awfully camera-ready, don’t you think?”

But that’s not all. Lady Colin alleges that Meghan isn't just enamored with the cameras; she’s also reportedly meddling behind the scenes.

During her writing process, Campbell received multiple calls from individuals claiming to be close friends of Meghan and Harry, providing her with insider information and even attempting to delay her book’s release to allow their own book, *Finding Freedom*, to hit the shelves first. For Lady Colin, this behavior spells one thing: “fame addiction.”

She points to Meghan's well-known aspirations for stardom from a young age, suggesting that she has been angling for the spotlight ever since.

While Lady Colin dismisses rumors of Meghan's supposed presidential ambitions as far-fetched, she acknowledges that Meghan’s desire to modernize the royal family rings true. After all, Meghan and Harry are far from shy when it comes to making their preferences known, apparently competing for attention with Prince William and Princess Catherine.

Just when you think the shade is thick enough, Lady Colin turns her attention to Meghan's estranged father, Thomas Markle.

In a surprising twist, she launched a GoFundMe page in honor of Thomas’s 80th birthday, calling for donations to show him the solidarity and respect that his daughter should have exhibited. Lady Colin not only created the fundraiser but also adorned its description with heartfelt words for Thomas, sprinkled with strategic jabs at Meghan.

The description paints Thomas as a generous, kind-hearted man who has been abandoned by his own flesh and blood. Lady Colin praises his lifetime of kindness, backed by nostalgic memories from those who supposedly witnessed it firsthand.

To drive her point home, she subtly suggests that the donations might provide him with the comfort he deserves in his twilight years—especially since Meghan, notably absent, did not contribute.

The GoFundMe quickly raised over £440,000, but Thomas reportedly told the *Daily Mail* that his final years have been overshadowed by his fractured relationship with Meghan.

He expressed that he would happily trade all those contributions for just a simple call from her. So far, it seems he will be waiting a while.

Is Lady Colin’s campaign an act of compassion or an elaborate roast served cold? Some may view it as a noble gesture for a father abandoned in his twilight years, while others might argue it’s just another jab at Meghan, whose so-called fame addiction has led her down this controversial path.
