The 2025 Grammy Award nominations were officially announced on Friday, and while artists like Beyonce, Taylor Swift and Chappell Roan garnered big nods, others were snubbed from big categories.
Among the music artists that missed out on major nominations included
The LP landed on various global charts, and reached the number one spot on the U.S. Billboard 200 as well as the U.K. Albums Chart.
We Can't Be Friends as well as Yes, And? are just two singles from Eternal Sunshine that sat at number one on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 upon being dropped.
Grande broke records by becoming the first woman with the most number one debuts and to have two albums with various number one debuts in the U.S.

However, Ariana did not garner nominations in the Big Four category, which include Album of the Year, Record of the Year, Song of the Year and also Best New Artist.
She did receive nods in other categories for the upcoming ceremony - which will take place next year on February 2, 2025.
Her track from Eternal Sunshine, The Boy Is Mine, was nominated for Best Pop Vocal Album and also Best Pop Duo/Group performance for her collaboration with Brandy & Monica.
Yes, And? also raked in one nod for Best Dance Pop Recording - but fans were less than enthused by the singer not receiving major nominations.
Some took to X to share their thoughts with one typing out, 'the snub is so evident wtf happened?' while another simply wrote, 'ROBBED.'
'The Grammys are a joke,' one shared, while another X user added, 'No best music video? ? No song of the year?? No record of the year?? No album of the year?? No best pop vocal performance?? @RecordingAcad You are an absolute joke.'
One penned, 'We Can't Be Friends by ariana grande hasn't been nominated at the 2025 grammys. it's one of the most successful and acclaimed songs of the year.'
'Ariana Grande was nominated for "Most Robbed Artist" at the #Grammys,' another shared, while one added, 'like wdym eternal sunshine and wcbf didn't get nominated... this has to be a joke.'

Dua Lipa was another star that was snubbed and received zero nominations despite releasing her album, Radical Optimism, in May 2024.
One of the singles, Training Session, also landed high up on the U.S. Hot Dance/Electric Songs chart and the U.S. Billboard Hot 100.
And additional tracks off the album, such as Houdini and Illusion, also landed on various global charts.
Her previous LP, Future Nostalgia (2020), received two Grammy nominations during the 2021 ceremony - and she ended up winning Best Pop Vocal Album.
In regards to Radical Optimism, she opened up about what she wanted listeners and fans to take away from the tracks during an interview with Variety earlier this year.
'I think for me, the importance of understanding that when things are bad, there's always some light at the end of the tunnel.'
She added, 'I always think about it like, when I'm in the midst of a mess of turmoil or everything's going wrong, I always tell myself, in a couple months, I'm gonna look back on that moment, and be like, thank God I walked through it.'

Lipa later added, 'And I feel like that just overall, especially in the world right now, I think it's important that we just learn to walk through the fire and not hide away from it, or shy away from it.'
'That's just optimism. It's probably the most daring thing we can do. Sometimes.'
Hozier's hit single, Too Sweet, was also ignored when it comes to the nominations on Friday.
The track - which is found on his fifth studio EP Unheard - was released earlier this year in March.
Too Sweet became the number one single in various countries, such as the U.S., U.K., Ireland, Iceland, Norway, Australia and New Zealand.
And in the United States alone, the song reached number one on charts such as the U.S. Billboard Hot 100, U.S. Adult Pop Airplay (Billboard), U.S. Hot Rock & Alternative Songs (Billboard).
A decade earlier, the Irish-born singer dropped Take Me To Church in 2014 - which received a Grammy nomination for Song of the Year.
Cher was another artist that was snubbed for her album, Christmas, which was released last year in October 2023.

The 27th studio album dropped by the songstress contained original tracks - her first LP to do so since Closer To The Truth (2013).
Some of the singles on the album included What Christmas Means To Me, featuring Stevie Wonder and Please Come Home For Christmas.
Upon its release, the LP landed on charts such as the U.S. Top Holiday Albums (Billboard) chart.
However, Cher did not garner a nomination for Best Traditional Pop Vocal Album for the 2025 Grammy Awards.
Blackpink member, LISA, was also snubbed - leaving fans disappointed who were hopeful that she could score a Best New Artist nod.
Megan Thee Stallion's third self-titled studio album, Megan, was also not recognized on Friday.
The LP dropped on June 28 - and included tracks such as Cobra, Hiss, Boa and Mamushi.

Megan landed the number one spot on the U.S. Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums (Billboard) chart.
The single, Hiss, also reached number one on the Billboard Global 200 and Billboard Hot 100.
She was last nominated for a Grammy in 2022 for her single, Thot S**t, which was in running for Best Rap Performance.
Another female rapper, Nicki Minaj, was ignored when it came to getting Grammy nominations for her album, Pink Friday 2.
It was a sequel to her debut studio album, Pink Friday (2010), which had been nominated for Best Rap Album at the 57th Annual Grammy Awards.

Jack Antonoff - who is known for collaborating with artists such as Taylor Swift and Sabrina Carpenter - missed out on a major nomination.
The record producer failed to garner the nod for Producer of the year - despite winning in the category since 2022.
However, he was still nominated for Song of the Year for Taylor Swift's Fortnight and Please, Please, Please by Sabrina Carpenter. In total, he received seven nods for the upcoming ceremony.
Country singer, Luke Combs, was also left out and didn't garner an album nod for his LP, Father & Son, nor did he receive Best Country Solo Performance for Fast Car.
