On a recent episode of her podcast, Cavallari, 37, stated she believes both Spears and Kanye West have been replaced by clones.
Now, Cavallari, 37, had an update for fans after she shared her bizarre conspiracy theory - she heard from Spears, 42, herself after the podcast went up.
In an episode entitled 'The Cabal Is Trying to Silence Me!', Cavallari revealed Britney asked for her phone number and the duo even had a brief text exchange.
Cavallari extended an offer to hang out with the Oops I Did It Again singer - only to be 'ghosted' by the songstress.
The MTV vet first heard from her own publicist before Britney's manager arranged a group chat.
'I get a call from my publicist,' Cavallari recounted. 'He calls me and he goes, "Guess who wants your phone number?" And I went, "Who?" Britney f**king Spears!'
'I'm going what!?... If you didn't listen to the last episode, go f**king listen, but we talked about Hollywood conspiracies and my big thing was Kanye West I think is a clone, but I also said Britney is not Britney,' she continued.
'So Britney obviously caught wind of that. So my initial reaction was, I was scared. I’m not gonna lie... Like, they're f**king onto me, man. They didn't like that podcast episode. Like, I'm like, give her my number!'
Cavallari declared herself a massive fan of the songstress and recalled how nice the singer was when they met in Las Vegas.
She described how Spears' manager then organized a group chat with Cavallari and the singer before Spears reached out to Cavallari.
However, Cavallari opted not to read the text message Spears sent her.
'I'm in a group chat with her manager and Britney Spears,' Kristin continued. 'Her manager puts us on a group chat... and then Britney sent me a text. I’m not gonna read it. I would love to read it.'
'It was a bit of a rollercoaster,' she explained of the message.
'Her clone let me know that she's not a clone,' Kristin said. 'That's a red f**king flag. Only a clone would say something like that. I know I'm not a clone, I don't have to convince you otherwise.'
Cavallari described the text message as 'one of the more interesting texts that I've ever received in my life.'
Kristin then offered to hang out with Britney in Los Angeles.
'I text her separately. And I’m so nice,' she said. 'I’m like, "Hey, I’m hardly in L.A. anymore, but when I come in December, I’ll let you know." Cause she's like, "We should hang out"... And then she just never f**king responded.'
'Ghosted!' her friend Justin Anderson chimed in.
Last week Kristin called herself the 'biggest conspiracy theorist' as she presented her clone theory.
'How do you think that these people would hide that Kristin?' Justin said after Kristin shared she believed both Kanye and Britney had been cloned. 'If somebody cloned you, I would scream it from the top of the mountains.'
'You literally would get killed,' Kristin replied.
'When you think you can make one of the biggest pop stars in the world disappear and nobody would come forward and be like, "That's not her." Like her close friends. Jamie Lynn Spears, I've done her hair a bunch of times, she would tell me,' Justin insisted, referencing Britney's sister Jamie.
