Meghan Markle's new Netflix series trailer for *With Love, Meghan* has sparked a flurry of criticism, leaving many viewers puzzled by its portrayal of a seemingly perfect life.
After making a grand return to Instagram on New Year's Day, the Duchess teased her highly anticipated show, which is slated to air on January 15.
The eight-episode series promises an inside look at Meghan’s life, as she invites friends and celebrity guests to her California estate. In it, she shares her expertise on everything from cooking and gardening to hosting gatherings.
However, royal historian Dr. Tessa Dunlop has raised concerns about the show's portrayal of an almost flawless lifestyle, especially considering the vast contrast between Meghan’s lavish lifestyle and the everyday struggles many people face.
"As I predicted, it’s easy to mock," Dr. Dunlop commented. "I mean, come on—here's one of the richest women in the world pretending she can teach us 'little tips and tricks'. It's so out-of-reach for the vast majority of people, it’s almost laughable."
While the Duchess is presented as effortlessly glamorous, critics argue that the series risks appearing disconnected from the real-life challenges most viewers deal with.
