Selena Gomez had awkward moment on stage while presenting BAFTA award

Selena Gomez suffered a blunder while presenting an award at the 2025 BAFTAs, at the Royal Festival Hall in London on Sunday night.

The actress was tasked with reading out a winner's name alongside Zoe Saldana - but made an accidental hiccup.

Selena struggled to read her part of the script to reveal who bagged the Outstanding Debut gong.

The names of the nominated films included Santosh, Kneecap, Money Man, Hoard and Sister Midnight.

Before announcing the winner, Selena and Zoe both said: 'And the Bafta goes to...'

Selena told Zoe: 'You read it', before Zoe responded: 'You read it.'

After a moment's pause, Selena whispered: 'I don't know what it says.'

She then added: 'Sorry, Kneecap... Rich [Peppiatt]...'

Mikey Madison and Adrien Brody scooped top gongs for Best Actress and Actor at 2025 BAFTA, while Conclave and The Brutalist equally led the pack with four awards.

The biggest night in British film returned with actor David Tennant as host and an array of guest presenters on hand to deliver awards throughout the night.

Up against a huge list of 10 nominees, Conclave - which won Best Film - came up trumps in the BAFTAs very unique category Outstanding British Film Award - adding to its previous two gongs for Best Adapted Screenplay and Best Editing.

The Brutalist won four awards, including Adrien's Best Actor, impressive Best Director gong for the well-deserving Brady Corbet, Best Cinematography gong and Best Original Score.

Acknowledging the 'British public', Adrien shared a moving tribute to England, admitting 'It's felt quite a bit like home lately'.
