Sussex Squad Turns on Meghan Markle Amid Controversy Over 'As Ever' Release

It seems that some members of the Sussex Squad are not happy with Meghan’s new brand, As Ever. Yes, you heard that right—Meghan is facing criticism from her own supporters.

One member of the Sussex Squad, in particular, seems to be coming to their senses. Let’s take a listen to what they had to say:

But sometimes the criticism that Meghan Markle gets is valid, and it’s not racist nor misogynistic. Yes, it does not automatically mean that when you criticize Meghan, it’s racist or misogynistic.

All my criticism of Meghan has not been racist or misogynistic, no matter how loud the Sussex Squad tries to say that it is.”

It’s refreshing to hear someone from the Sussex Squad acknowledge that not all criticism of Meghan is rooted in racism or misogyny. This person even gained a bit of respect for speaking out.

Now, let’s talk about the rebrand. Meghan recently announced As Ever, a new venture that seems to be a follow-up to her previous brand, American Riviera Orchard. But here’s the kicker: the launch feels rushed and sloppy.

One Sussex Squad member pointed out that Meghan announced American Riviera Orchard prematurely because some people on Reddit (shoutout to the Saint Meghan Markle subreddit!) discovered the trademark.

Meghan wanted to be the first to announce it, but the problem is, she didn’t even have the trademark secured. There was nothing to sell, no products, nothing. And now, history seems to be repeating itself with As Ever.

This Sussex Squad member didn’t hold back, saying:

“You rushed it out, you announced this thing, but you’re not offering anything yet again. It’s as if history is repeating itself. You announced American Riviera Orchard, but it was all rushed out because it wasn’t set up. You didn’t secure the trademarks, there was nothing to be sold, and here we go again with this As Ever brand.”

The criticism doesn’t stop there. This Sussex Squad member also raised concerns about data protection. When they tried to opt out of Google Analytics on Meghan’s website, they were directed to a broken link.

This is a big problem, especially in the UK and Europe, where data protection laws require companies to provide a clear and easy way for users to opt out of data collection.

The member said:

“I no longer want this defunct brand to have my information. You use my data for whatever purposes, and I’m not cool with that. Go to AR’s website, and I go to the Privacy Notice to opt out of Google Analytics. But since they rushed to throw up that website, the Google Analytics was not properly set up. When I clicked the opt-out on AR’s website, this is literally what it takes me to.”

Is the Tide Turning?

What’s fascinating here is that a member of the Sussex Squad is publicly speaking out against Meghan. This raises the question: Is the tide turning within the Sussex Squad? Are some of them starting to see the light and question what’s really going on with Meghan and Harry’s ventures?

This Sussex Squad member even admitted that they signed up for The Tig back in the day because they loved it, but now they’re questioning Meghan’s new brand. They said:

“I did sign up because I loved The Tig back in the day, and I was like, ‘I’m here for it.’ But now we have this new thing going on, As Ever, a year later because, as we know, she could not secure the trademark for American Riviera Orchard.”

It’s clear that Meghan’s rushed launches and lack of preparation are starting to frustrate even her most loyal supporters.

The fact that a Sussex Squad member is speaking out so candidly is a big deal. It makes you wonder how many others in the Squad are feeling the same way but are too afraid to say it.

What do you think? Do you agree with this Sussex Squad member’s criticism? Do you think the tide is turning within the Squad? Let me know your thoughts in the comments below!
