Here at Guinness World Records, we believe that everyone has the potential to set a world record.

Everyone in the world has the chance to be the best at something… and we're here to measure it! 😎

However, there are some records that are simply too hard, if not impossible, to ever break.

tallest man ever

Tallest man ever

The tallest man in history is Robert Pershing Wadlow from USA, who was measured at a whopping 2.72 m (8 ft 11.1 in) of height in 1940.

That’s at least 1 metre (3 ft 2 in) taller than the average adult! 🤯

He needed to eat 8,000 calories daily, which is more than 3 times the recommended amount for an adult man.

In the last 83 years, no one has ever beaten Robert…

Do you know anyone who could possibly grow up to be this tall?!

strangest diet man eating airplane

Strangest diet

Michel Lotito, also known as 'Monsieur Mangetout' which means Mister Eat All, was a French performer with a very unusual talent.

He was awarded the title for the world's strangest diet after eating the most unusual objects, such as glass, bicycles and even… an entire airplane! 😱

It seems unbelievable, however, there is actually a very logical explanation for this.

Michel had a rare disease that made him crave eating non-food objects and, after years and years of careful training with the assistance of doctors, he was able to develop his unique talent.

Mister Eat All was truly one of a kind, and it’s safe to assume that no one will ever break his record. 🙏🏻

bobi oldest dog ever

Oldest dog ever

You may already know Bobi, the world’s oldest dog ever

But did you know it was recently his 31st birthday?! 🥳

Bobi, the wonder dog from Portugal, has lived longer than any other pooch ever in history.

So, it was only right that a big birthday party would be planned to celebrate his amazing life, with over 100 people invited!

Before Bobi, this record hadn’t been broken for almost 100 years, and it’s unlikely that it will be in the foreseeable future.

Happy 31st birthday, Bobi. ❤️

heaviest aircraft pulled by a man

Heaviest aircraft pulled by a man

From eating planes, to pulling them…

Have you ever flown in a plane? ✈️

Kevin Fast is a strongman from Canada with multiple weight-pulling record titles under his belt.

The most impressive, however, is the heaviest aircraft pulled (male), for which he pulled a real, full-size airplane weighing 188.83 tonnes (416,299 lb) for a distance of 8.8 m (28 ft 10.46 in)

Needless to say that, due to the extreme difficulty of such an achievement, it doesn’t look like anyone will be coming for Kevin’s title anytime soon!

The heaviest weight lifted with the tongue

He held a total weight of 181 kg on his head. He lasted for 10 seconds. It's a wonder his neck didn't break. It's likely that this world record won't be broken anytime soon.

The richest cat

Ben Rea, who passed away in 1988, named his cat Blackie as the world's wealthiest cat, as he left his $12.5 million fortune to his pets. Among his 15 cats, Blackie ended up living the longest and thus inherited the entire sum. Aside from the cats, Rea also supported three charitable organizations, but his family did not receive a penny.
