Justin Bieber has a new celebrity friend who guided him through this past turbulent year.
Though each are A-listers in their own right, the 31-year-old Canadian musician actually met his new buddy through supermodel wife, Hailey Bieber.
According to insiders, the two Hollywood stars often meet up in Los Angeles for meals and coffee, usually at hotel cafes in the Beverly Hills area where there is more privacy than being out in more public spaces.
The pair are said to have bonded over growing up as child stars.
'Timothee knows what it is like to start working at a young age so Justin can relate to him,' the source reveals. 'He is also really good at handling fame and gives advice to Justin.'

'He tells Justin to not take it all so seriously and just cut loose, be yourself. He is a great influence on Justin, a rock, because he is so stable whereas Justin is more emotional.
'Timothee also has that New Yorker sensibility where he just doesn't care, he does his thing and he doesn't give a crap what people say.'
But there is another interesting link - the men have each, at some point in their lives, kissed Selena Gomez.
Bieber dated Gomez over a decade ago and Chalamet played her lover in the 2019 Woody Allen film, Rainy Day in New York.
Bieber and Gomez began their romance in 2011 and split in 2014, then they got back together in 2017 before breaking up again in 2018.
They all hung out at the Coachella Music and Art Festival in California last week.
'Hailey spent a lot of time with Kylie at Coachella, she even shared photos of her on social media. They are tight,' said the source.
The insider added that even though Bieber has seemed wild lately, he actually 'is just trying to have fun and stop thinking about how he is perceived.'
He began posting cover songs on YouTube, which caught the attention of music promoter and talent agent Scooter Braun in 2008. At 15, he signed a recording contract with the Island Def Jam record label.
Bieber was ushered into mainstream stardom with his teen pop debut studio album, My World 2.0 (2010). His second studio album was Under the Mistletoe (2011), then came Believe (2012), Purpose (2015), Changes (2020) and Justice (2021).
Chalamet's acting career started at a young age, as well, with his 2009 debut on the television series Law & Order. He was 13 years old at the time.
In 2014, while a student at Columbia University, he made his film debut in the comedy-drama Men, Women & Children and appeared in Christopher Nolan's science fiction film, Interstellar.
Chalamet became famous for his role in Call Me by Your Name (2017), then appeared in Lady Bird (2017), Little Women (2019) and Beautiful Boy (2018). He has since been in Dune (2021), Dune: Part Two (2024), Wonka (2023) as well as A Complete Unknown (2024).
Meanwhile, Bieber has been working on his music despite trolls saying he looks out of it - he has reportedly been in the studio with producer Fred Again, who co-wrote and co-produced Bieber and Ed Sheeran's 2019 hit I Don't Care.
It's also emerged that he and Fred have been cooking something up with British singer Sekou.

Fred was spotted in Sekou's posts on his Instagram Story from his studio sessions with Bieber - fans then circulated the pictures on social media.
Bieber and Sekou surprised fans in March when they shared selfies from their time together.
Sekou captioned his post on Instagram: 'The duo you never thought you needed;) my big brother @justinbieber life works in crazy ways!!'
Prior to this, Bieber worked with singer, songwriter and producer Mk.gee (Michael Todd Gordon) - who has previously worked with the likes of Dijon, Omar Apollo and Kacy Hill.
Mk.gee told The New York Times: 'He's [Justin] searching. Anything that comes out of his mouth: That's pop music.
'You can really do pretty wild stuff behind that, just because it represents something.'

In an Instagram video from when he first postponed shows in June 2022, Bieber explained: 'Obviously as you can probably see with my face. I have this syndrome called Ramsay Hunt Syndrome, and it is from this virus that attacks the nerves in my ear and my facial nerves and has caused my face to have paralysis. Can't believe I'm saying this. I've done everything to get better but my sickness is getting worse.
'My heart breaks that I will have to postpone these next few shows - doctors orders. To all my people I love you so much and I'm gonna rest and get better.'
The jaunt was due to end in 2023, in Kraków, Poland, but wrapped in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, in 2022.
He hasn't put out an album since 2021.
