Meghan Markle's latest Netflix offering has tailed off with barely a whimper despite a major PR push. With Love, Meghan premiered last month but received a lukewarm response on the platform and was panned by critics.

She has since launched her

As Ever lifestyle brand, being backed by the show with a second series set to air later this year.

But among those left unconvinced by the Duchess of Sussex's hosting credentials is a man known as the 'Godfather of Hospitality".

Robert Walton is president of the Restaurant Association, so knows a thing or two about good food and hospitality. But he reckons there is "no love there" in Meghan's show, reports the Daily Mail.

He added: "We can all make jam, and we can bake some bread – if you are in that position where you've got a $100 million Netflix deal, you can make it look very pretty. But it takes people in this field years of grafting to become good, and that's what we should be instilling in the next generation."

It comes as Meghan opened up about suffering a miscarriage in July 2020. In the latest episode of her Confessions Of A Female Founder podcast series, the 43-year-old spoke with Reshma Saujani, founder of the not-for-profit Girls Who Code, who has faced a series of miscarriages due to an autoimmune disease.

Meghan said: "The miscarriages that you've experienced. I've spoken about the miscarriage that we experienced. And I think, in some parallel way, when you have to learn to detach from the thing that you have so much promise and hope for, and to be able to be OK at a certain point to let something go, something go that you plan to love for a long time."

Meghan also spoke about the challenges of juggling her career and caring for her children, Prince Archie, 5, and Princess Lilibet, 3, especially when they are sick.

She said: "With that comes the woman who is juggling it all and doing it all from home, being confident enough to tell the truth about what’s going on, because you can’t give grace to someone in the same way if you just have no sense of it…

"My kids, for example, right now, one has RSV, the other has influenza A. I hear a little pitter patter of feet upstairs, home from school, you know cough syrup all night and rubbing the back, and … we still find a way to show up for both."

The podcast only just snuck into Spotify's top 10 over the weekend after the first episode, which featured Tinder and Bumble founder Whitney Wolfe Herd, a close friend of the Duchess.

Meghan revealed she had been diagnosed with post-partum pre-eclampsia following the birth of one of her children.
