Meghan Markle has revealed the real reason why she calls husband Prince Harry by the nickname 'H' – and her explanation makes perfect sense.
The Duchess of Sussex, 43, and her other half are both known to abbreviate each other's names when referring to each other, although no one really knew why… until now.
Speaking to her friend, IT Cosmetics CEO Jamie Kern Lima, in her first ever podcast interview released on Monday, Meghan explained the origin of her unusual moniker for Prince Harry.
'Probably at the beginning of us dating, when everything was in code,' Meghan said. 'People didn't know we were dating for - talk about memory lane - so long ago.
'I mean, it'll be our seven-year wedding anniversary soon.'
Dropping the bombshell, Meghan continued: 'I couldn't tell anyone who I was dating, and who was keeping [the secret], so I think we were just on a letter basis.'
Meghan added that their nicknames quickly 'stuck' and became something they use for each other regularly.

Meghan and Prince Harry got engaged in November 2017.
The couple wed on May 19, 2018 at St George's Chapel, Windsor Castle.
Duchess of Sussex Meghan was first heard calling Prince Harry 'H' during their official royal tour of South Africa the following year.
Meghan and Prince Harry are parents to two children, Archie, five, and Lilibet, three.
Elsewhere on the podcast, Meghan likened her marriage to Prince Harry to the popular game Super Mario Brothers.
During the episode, she reflected on the last seven years of her relationship with her other half and recognized just how far they've come as a couple.
In doing so, she referred to the famous Nintendo gaming series Super Mario Bros, which first arrived on the scene in 1985.

'H, that man loves me so much and you know, look what we've built,' Meghan began. 'We built a beautiful life, and we have two healthy, beautiful children.
When asked whether she's in love more than ever before, Meghan answered: 'You have to imagine, at the beginning it's like butterflies, and then we immediately went into the trenches together right out of the gate, six months into dating.
'So, now seven years later when you have a little bit of breathing space, you can just enjoy each other in a new way. And that's why I feel like it's more of a honeymoon period for us now.'
