Veteran highlife legend Bright Chimezie was honoured with a royal evening in Lagos on Monday, May 19, 2025, as Afrobeats star David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, hosted him to a private dinner filled with laughter, cultural pride, and touching moments.
The intimate gathering was a fulfillment of Davido’s earlier promise to celebrate the iconic South-East musician. Even before the night ended, news of the event had fans buzzing with excitement.
Davido had previously revealed that his hit song “With You,” featuring Omah Lay, was inspired by one of Bright Chimezie’s classics. He showed how much he loves the song by vibing to it after Davido informed him.
