Justin Bieber is receiving substantial backlash after revealing he cruelly told his wife, Hailey, that she would never grace the cover of Vogue during a heated argument.
On the same day his spouse, 28, achieved her dream, the pop star, 31, divided the internet over his Instagram post congratulating her on the feat.
The Sorry hitmaker's sense of humor did not land with his or Hailey's fans as he divulged why her Vogue cover was a full circle moment for them as couple.
'Yo this reminds me when Hailey and I got into a huge fight, I told hails that she would never be on the cover of vogue, Yikes I know, so mean, For some reason because I felt so disrespected I thought I gotta get even,' he explained.
He concluded his post by writing a message directly to Hailey, which read: 'So baby u already know but forgive me for saying u wouldn’t get a vogue cover cuz clearly i was sadly mistaken.'

Many saw his caption as a backhanded compliment and something 'so unnecessary' to share with his more than 294 million Instagram followers.
'It’s okay to have secrets Justin,' one commented.
Hailey Bieber feared she would 'die' during labour as she reflects on son Jack Blues' birth

Another wrote: 'You couldn’t waterboard this information out of me lmao.'
'Why would you write something like that... put that phone down please,' a third urged.
Others criticized him for accidentally writing 'sadly mistaken' versus 'happily' mistaken, since he obviously meant to congratulate her on the achievement.
In the interview, reporter Alessandra Codinha shared that Justin emailed her a cute note about his wife of seven years.
'I’ve done a lot of dumb things in my life,' he wrote to the journalist by email, 'but the smartest thing I’ve ever done was marry Hailey.'
The Canadian artist also shared he loves family life with the beauty: 'I’m walking in the days I always dreamed of.'

As far as having more kids they both want that. She definitely wants at least one more baby, maybe more, the Vogue writer shared. But Hailey plans to take it 'a kid at a time.'
Hailey also noted that Justin sees her as a 'superhero' after welcoming their child: 'At least that was the case for me,' she added.
And Hailey added their baby made their marriage even stronger.
'It’s been my biggest teacher so far,' she said, 'the biggest teacher in my relationship. You see your partner so differently.'
Justin is an 'amazing dad,' she added: 'I think you empathize with your parents a lot more. There’s so much perspective that comes with it.'
Justin also emailed the writer this note in support of his wife: 'She’s in the spotlight, and has the attention because of her effortless knack for style, business, art, and fashion. And the way she makes being a mom and wife look easy.'
The model also said Justin has coached her on fame.
'I’ve learned so much from Justin, really. He’s been doing this literally since he was a child and he has had to face the most scrutiny of any person that I know. He was like, "Baby, trust me, I’ve been here before many, many times. You’re not going to win. There is no winning,"' she said.
She also said: 'I have a real life. My real life is that I get to wake up to my beautiful family and my son and my friends and I have people that know me and love me and I love them.'

Also in her interview Hailey admitted she thought she might 'die' as she opened up about her son Jack Blues' traumatic labor last year.
The model welcomed her only child with Bieber, 31, in August 2024, but experienced some 'scary' complications during the birth.
Despite prepping for nine months in which she exercised, worked on her pelvic floor and felt 'physically stronger' than ever before, Hailey found herself going through a very tough labour, with the stunner admitting in a candid new interview that giving birth was 'the hardest thing I’ve ever done'.
Speaking for the first time about the birth, Hailey told Vogue: 'That s**t was so crazy. That was not fun. They broke my water. I went into labor and I labored for a few hours. No epidural, nothing.'

Hailey began leaking amniotic fluid at 39 weeks and had to be induced, with the star given medication to bring on contractions while a special balloon was placed inside her uterus to help dilate her.
However, while she eventually welcomed her boy after 18 hours, her troubles continued as she then experienced a postpartum hemorrhage, with Hailey sadly admitting that the thought had crossed her mind that she wouldn't survive the ordeal.
On the fact that death could be a result of this complication if not treated quickly, which she told was 'a little bit scary', Hailey shared: 'I trust my doctor with my life. And so I had peace that I knew she would never let anything happen to me. But I was bleeding really badly, and people die, and the thought crosses your mind.'
While she was overjoyed to finally bring her baby home safe and sound, Hailey told how she had to get used to her postpartum figure, admitting that she had to 'give herself some grace' over her body not 'bouncing back'.

She noted how her hips are wider and her boobs were bigger but has since accepted that her body is 'not the same body that it was before'.
Meanwhile, during the candid interview, Hailey told of her 'difficulty' at coping with the 'new version of herself', while facing rumors surrounding her marriage to Justin.
Fans have expressed concern for the couple due to their stony-faced public appearances, and Hailey's famous friends have allegedly urged her to leave the singer due to his 'unacceptable' behavior.
Addressing the difficulty, she shared: 'Being postpartum is the most sensitive time I’ve ever gone through in my life, and learning a new version of myself is very difficult… And to be doing that all the while going on the internet every day and people being like, "They’re getting divorced" and "They’re this" and "They’re not happy": It is such a mindf**k. I cannot even begin to explain it. It’s a crazy life to live.'
