As preparations for Princess Charlotte's 10th birthday begin in earnest, new estimations about her future economic impact in the U.K. reveal the true power of the "Charlotte Effect."
Speaking with US Weekly in an exclusive interview ahead of Friday's festivities, royal expert Sharon Carpenter explained that the Princess has a unique ability to influence the economy.

Another royal expert seconded Carpenter's confidence in the Princess's future impact, noting that Charlotte will likely begin doing official royal engagements once she turns 18. “As she gets through her teens, there will be talk of her being an asset,” Marlene Koenig said, “and the secret weapon for the royal family.”

Though she is still quite a few years away from becoming a working royal, the Princess has already earned a reputation for being 'the one in charge,'" said Koenig, per Charlotte's mother, Kate Middleton.
“They’ve watched Charlotte grow into a smart, confident and funny girl who knows how to hold her own both in the spotlight and outside of it," Carpenter added, referring to the Prince and Princess of Wales.

After meeting Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce during the pop star's Eras tour last summer, she secured the famous couple's seal of approval.
"She was a superstar,” Kelce told his brother, Jason, on their New Heights podcast, to which Jason replied, "She had a fire to her. She was asking questions; that was probably the most electric part of it."
