“They said I’m d£ad” – Abroad returnee seeks justice after N150m allegedly vanishes from his UBA account (Video)

A Nigerian returnee has accused the United Bank for Africa (UBA) of allegedly clearing ₦150 million from his account after falsely declaring him dead.

The startling revelation emerged during a live video call with human rights activist Gwamnishu Harrison, who has pledged to pursue legal action on his behalf.

According to the unnamed returnee, the incident took place in 2023 while he was residing overseas.

He explained that while living abroad, he consistently deposited funds into his UBA account—sometimes up to five times a year. But upon returning to Nigeria, he was shocked to learn from bank officials that his entire savings had been withdrawn by individuals who allegedly claimed he was dead and already buried.

When he visited the bank to demand an explanation, he was met with police officers who were reportedly on standby to arrest him. He stated that he only raised his voice in disbelief and frustration but was accused of causing a disturbance.
