Cristiano Ronaldo reveals he struggles to get his son to sit down to dinner

Real Madrid striker Cristiano Ronaldo has admitted his son’s love of football makes it difficult to get him to sit down at the dinner table for meals.

The star’s mum Dolores Aveiro once claimed her clean-living son was addicted to football.
His godfather Fernao Sousa said he loved the game so much as a boy on his native island of Madeira that he would miss meals or escape out of his bedroom window when he was supposed to be doing his homework.
Cristiano, 32, appeared to admit history was repeating itself in an exclusive interview published today in Spain as he confessed getting his eldest son Cristiano Jnr, seven, to stop playing with a ball was often a problem.
Glossy Spanish magazine Hola, publishing the interview it said was done by its English version Hello Magazine, quoted the footballer as saying: “He loves football and he plays all the time.
“Often it’s difficult to get him to sit down and have dinner because he’s always outside kicking a football.

“I suppose it’s in his blood.”

Admitting how proud he was of the youngster, filmed perfecting free-kicks last month just like his famous dad, he added:
“He’s a very affectionate boy, attentive, friendly, respectful and very open with people.

“Everyone who meets him is surprised at how confident he is. That makes me feel very proud as a dad.”

Cristiano is due to become a father for the fourth time on November 21.
