Auchi polytechnic lecturer found dead four days after he was declared missing

Patrick Okojie, a lecturer at the Federal Polytechnic in Auchi, has been found dead four days after he was declared missing.  

The decomposing body of Okojie, a lecturer at the Department of Urban and Regional Planning, Auchi Polytechnic, was found on his plot of land at Igbira Camp, along Igarra/Auchi Road.  

It was gathered that Okojie committed suicide but family members expressed shocked at his death, noting that he did not leave any suicide note.  

The Nation newspaper reported that Okojie had made two unsuccessful attempts at killing himself, before his eventual 'suicide'. He left behind a wife and three children.
