Princess Kate's Uncle Gary Goldsmith gained widespread attention when he participated in Celebrity Big Brother earlier this year. In a recent interview with The Times Saturday Magazine, Gary Goldsmith, the uncle of Princess Kate Middleton, sparked controversy as he expressed anger towards Meghan Markle, the Duchess of Sussex. 

Goldsmith, who had just exited the Celebrity Big Brother house, referred to Meghan as "Laughing Girl" and criticized her attitude towards the royal family. 

He stated that "Laughing Girl" is not a good person. Goldsmith's comments were in response to allegations that Meghan had implied Kate was a racist, which he vehemently denied. He emphasized his and Kate's upbringing in a diverse community, stating that Kate knows her family's roots and is proud of them.

Gary Goldsmith didn't reserve his criticism solely for Meghan. He also targeted Prince Harry, condemning their pursuit of American corporate interests. 

Goldsmith expressed concern about the impact on the once happy trio of William, Harry, and Kate, suggesting that their happiness had been compromised by undisclosed factors.

However, the timing of Goldsmith's interview couldn't have been worse. It coincided with a heartbreaking revelation from Kate herself, who shared a video disclosing her recent cancer diagnosis. 

Goldsmith swiftly apologized for the unfortunate timing, clarifying that the interview had been conducted and published before he learned of Kate's health struggles. He extended his thoughts and prayers to Kate and her family during this challenging period, urging an end to speculation and conspiracy theories.

The Times, acknowledging the sensitivity of the situation, issued a warning alongside the article, stating that it had been written and printed prior to the news of Kate's illness becoming public. 

The Princess of Wales had been absent from royal duties since the beginning of the year due to planned surgery. However, it was on March 22nd that she announced her cancer diagnosis and forthcoming chemotherapy, requesting privacy for her family during this ordeal.

Goldsmith's comments have ignited a debate, highlighting tensions within the royal family and raising questions about the role of public figures in addressing sensitive issues.
