Suits LA Spin-Off Filming in LA Excludes Meghan Markle from Cast

 In the ongoing saga of royal drama, Meghan Markle finds herself seemingly sidelined as the eagerly awaited spin-off of "Suits" prepares for filming in the bustling heart of Los Angeles. 

Five years after bidding farewell to the captivating US legal drama, fans are eagerly anticipating the premiere of "Suits LA," a new chapter that was officially announced earlier this year.

The announcement of the spin-off comes amidst renewed interest in the original series, especially following its addition to Netflix's global catalog in June 2023. While Netflix has remained tight-lipped about specific viewership figures, the resurgence of "Suits," starring Patrick J. Adams and Meghan Markle, on the platform appears more than coincidental.

Notably, the absence of any mention of Meghan Markle in the cast lineup has raised eyebrows among fans. Speculations had circulated that she might make a return to the series, adding to the ongoing buzz surrounding her potential involvement in various brand deals or even a royal return.

Unlike the original series set in the bustling streets of New York, the new spin-off, as its title suggests, will unfold in the glamorous city of Los Angeles, near Meghan Markle's real-life residence in Montecito. The plot revolves around Ted Black, a former federal prosecutor from New York rebranding himself as a lawyer representing influential clients in LA. Amidst a firm facing crisis, Ted's adaptation to his new role intertwines his personal and professional lives, promising an engaging storyline for viewers.

The lead role of Ted Black will be portrayed by Arrow's Stephen Amell, alongside Josh McDermitt from The Walking Dead and Luke Scott Davis, generating significant buzz already. Despite the anticipation surrounding Meghan's potential return, she remains notably absent from the cast list.

 While there's been no official confirmation of her involvement, Patrick Adams, her former co-star, hinted at the possibility of both their characters returning during this year's Golden Globes.

Adams teased about their characters, Mike and Rachel, potentially resolving issues in Los Angeles, hinting at their return. "She's pretty popular right now," he quipped, referring to Meghan's ongoing public interest.

 He later confirmed his willingness, along with several co-stars, to return if approached. "If you got the phone call, if I got the phone call, I'm ready to suit up," Adams expressed, expressing his love for the show and the character.

Amidst speculations, recent claims by Royal commentator Tom Quinn suggest that Meghan Markle would face significant challenges if she chose to return to acting. According to Quinn, Meghan and Harry have discussed the possibility of her acting again if their commercial ventures falter. 

However, the landscape has shifted since Meghan's last acting stint, potentially posing hurdles to a comeback in the entertainment industry.
