The Sussexes have once again pulled out all the security stops for their visit to New York City.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were spotted riding around the Big Apple with a four-car motorcade Wednesday, nearly two weeks after the duchess was slammed for her “over-the-top” security measures.
The Sussexes were back in the concrete jungle because the “Suits” alum had a speaking engagement at Jazz at Lincoln Center for the Time100 Summit.

The last time Markle was in town earlier this month, she hit up a Broadway show solo, as Harry was unable to make that trip because he was in Ukraine meeting with war victims.
The “With Love, Meghan” star’s visit made a lot of noise at the time due to her four-car motorcade, which a pap source exclusively told us was “absolutely abnormal” for celeb standards.
“And if [Swift’s] going somewhere, she has a separate car on-site with her team already there, but they don’t travel together.”
We were also told at the time that other A-listers like Beyoncé, Jay-Z, Rihanna and Kim Kardashian typically only ride around with a maximum of two SUVs for themselves, their team and family members.
The pap source also fumed over whether the “city was paying” for the unmarked police vehicles.
It is unknown whether the New York Police Department’s service during Markle’s last visit and on Wednesday were provided at the cost of local taxpayers.
Reps for the royals and the NYPD have not returned our repeated requests for comment.
However, a source previously explained to Page Six that the head of any celeb’s security team can ask for additional police protection “based on the threat assessment and the circumstances of where they’re going and what they’re doing.”
Harry and Markle have said in the past that they feel unsafe in New York City, particularly following a May 2023 car chase with paparazzi that their rep described as “near catastrophic.”
“This relentless pursuit, lasting over two hours, resulted in multiple near collisions involving other drivers on the road, pedestrians and two NYPD officers,” their publicist claimed at the time.
“While being a public figure comes with a level of interest from the public, it should never come at the cost of anyone’s safety.”
Law enforcement sources, however, cast doubt on the details surrounding that incident, claiming to The Post that there had been “no collision reports or 911 calls” and that the chase did not last two hours.
Last December, it was revealed Harry privately slammed the NYPD for not making arrests in that matter.
The department’s top intelligence officer John Hart reportedly told Touchstone, the security company hired to protect Harry and Markle in response to the royal’s complaints, “Please let us know if they have any further travel to NYC region — we will continue to provide coverage reflective of the October visit.”
