The worlds of showbusiness and royalty collided this week as Prince Harry and Meghan Markle found themselves caught in the crossfire of the feuding Beckham family.
The Sussexes, whom were once 'friends' of David and Victoria Beckham before a messy fall out, are said to be 'secretly supporting' Brooklyn Beckham, 26, and his wife Nicola Peltz, 30, through their 'similar family feuds', sources claimed.
The former working royals allegedly met Brooklyn and Nicola in Montecito in recent weeks where the women are said to have had a 'deep and meaningful chat'.
On the latest episode of Palace Confidential, Charlotte Griffiths, the Editor at Large of the Mail on Sunday, dissected Meghan's alleged friendship with Brooklyn and Nicola with the help of Richard Eden, the Daily Mail's Diary Editor, and host Jo Elvin.
'They have lost contact with their son Brooklyn because he's married an American and he's moved to America and this has caused a huge amount of tension.
'A lot of the blame is being placed on Nicola Peltz, Brooklyn's wife, who some people are saying, including sources close to Victoria, is a "viper" who has served to stir the pot between the Beckhams and remove Brooklyn from the family.
'Well, can you remember a story that is quite similar to this in recent years?'

Insiders claim that Meghan and Nicola formed a bond at a recent dinner party after being accused by critics of being 'homewreckers' and wives who 'tear apart their husbands' families'.
They also reportedly clicked over their 'similar family feuds'.
Charlotte added: 'It looks like they have actually come together as the ousted parties to unite.'
'It just sounds like a soap opera,' lamented Jo, who hosts the hit YouTube show.
Adding his own commentary, Richard said: 'When Harry and Meghan moved to America there were all these ideas that they were going to be mixing with the Obamas, with the Clooneys who attended their wedding.'
Pro-Sussex sources have since claimed that Brooklyn and his wife Nicola were not 'directly invited' by Meghan and Harry to the VIP soiree in Montecito, suggesting that the couple were asked to be there by a mutual friend or intermediary.
The meal was hosted for a larger group of VIPs including TV and media executives by Brian Robbins, 61, the CEO of television giant Paramount and Nickelodeon, and his wife Tracy, 49, who are neighbours of Harry and Meghan in Montecito.

'Kate knows how Victoria and David feel': Insiders tell RICHARD EDEN

'Brooklyn and Nicola were invited prior to David's numerous global birthday galas, so the timing is pure coincidence,' an insider told MailOnline.
'While it was an intimate gathering, there were several additional guests, including VIPs and film executives. Brooklyn and Nicola had a wonderful time and found Harry and Meghan to be particularly kind, caring and generous'.
But the alliance is still said to have 'blindsided' David and Victoria Beckham who are 'ex pals' of Prince Harry and Meghan.
'David and Victoria Beckham were friendly with Prince Harry and Meghan,' Richard confirmed.
The couples initially bonded because Izzy May, Beckham's communications director, was friends with Markus Anderson, chief membership officer for private social club Soho House, who helped arrange Meghan's secret dates with Harry.
By all reports, the Beckhams went out of their way to welcome Meghan to the United Kingdom ahead of her very public marriage to the prince.
It is believed Victoria gave the American actress access to her little black book of hairdressers and stylists in London.

What REALLY happened when Meghan and Harry met Nicola and Brooklyn for dinner: KATIE HIND

After attending Harry and Meghan's fairytale wedding in May 2018, David flew to Australia to attend the Invictus Games.
'When he got there,' Richard explained. 'Prince Harry didn't meet him at all.
'What people have told me is that the Beckhams were not impressed by Harry and Meghan's behaviour over recent years.
'The attacks on the Royal Family have gone down very badly with David who is an ardent royalist.
'He memorably queued up for 12 hours to file past the coffin of Queen Elizabeth so I think they have become distant from Harry and Meghan and have become increasingly friendly with Prince William and Catherine.'
Playing Devil's Advocate, Charlotte added: 'Meghan and Harry apparently think that the Beckhams were too leaky and that whenever they interacted with them, stories would leak out so that's why Meghan pushed distance between them.'
Charlotte's claims are backed up by Bower's account of the explosive falling out in his book Revenge.
'Harry's instability fed Meghan's fears that friends were leaking stories to the media,' he wrote. 'In particular, she suspected Victoria Beckham of indiscretion.

'Harry called David Beckham to repeat the accusation. Outraged, Beckham's truthful denials damaged their relationship.'
On the other side of the coin, the Mail's Royal experts discussed Princess Catherine's apparent 'show of support' for Victoria Beckham by wearing a suit from her fashion brand to present the Queen Elizabeth II Award for British Design.
Although she has worn Victoria Beckham before, Charlotte said: 'She was sending a message.
'I think she was sending a message of support to Victoria Beckham who is going through a Megxit drama of her own, which people are calling Beckxit.
'The Beckhams aren't anymore close with Meghan and Harry so I just wonder whether that suit is her being on team VB.'
